As Head of Communications at The Royal Parks, I managed the complex filming operation for the Queen’s Christmas Broadcast outside Buckingham Palace. This involved closing surrounding roads, coordinating early-morning filming, managing multiple production crews and working closely with the Royal Household, police, broadcasters and other key stakeholders. The broadcast featured military bands representing all four nations of the UK performing together outside the Palace - believed to be the first time this had happened - requiring careful planning, diplomacy and precise on-the-ground delivery to bring a nationally significant moment to television audiences.
